Private Insurance/Private Pay – There many different plans and options for insurance and private pay. We can assist in determining which option works best for your health care situation.

Long-term care insurance – If you or loved ones have been contributing to a long-term insurance plan, they may have home care benefits. Check with the insurance provider to learn more about what plans and premiums may be available and what are the specific home care services it will cover.

Private health Insurance – Check your policy coverage for home care benefits, as it varies from plan to plan. Most private insurers will cover the costs of short-term skilled nursing care after a surgery or an injury not directly related to an auto or workers compensation accident. High deductible plans tied to health savings accounts may offer tax advantages, so ask about that benefit as well.

Private pay – Many families choose to pay for home care expenses out-of-pocket. Retirement income, savings, stocks, home equity, or gifts from family members are all possible sources to help cover the cost of home  care. If you do choose to pay out-of-pocket, discuss the benefits of the various sources with your advisor. And if you do choose to pay privately, most we can discuss payment terms with you.

Worker’s Compensation

Established in 1920 by the Georgia legislature, the State Board of Workers’ Compensation serves over a quarter of a million employers in Georgia and over 3.8 million workers. The State Board is funded by assessments from insurance companies and self-insured employers. An employee that is injured on the job and is covered by the law may be eligible for replacement of a portion of lost wages, medical payments, vocational rehabilitation services and other benefits.

The workers’ compensation law provides for specific benefits to be paid to employees for injuries arising out of and in the course of employment, without regard to negligence or fault, and at the same time, provides the employer with limited liability. In Georgia, employers obtain worker’s compensation coverage through private insurers or programs of self-insurance. The rights granted an employee under the law preclude any other legal remedies against an employer by an employee due to a work-related injury.

We provide homecare services for Georgia workers compensation, helping employees return to work.
